If this were a different game that had nothing to do with the series then i could care less about it for being what it is. Now, this isn’t a bad game, its just that they labeled this as a Silent Hill game which doesn’t even come close to the first silent hill on the PlayStation. Unlike its psx counterpart, this re-imagined remake is just a disappointment to the whole Silent Hill series. The facial movements are quite impressive as far as in-game cut scenes goes.

the frame rate can get a bit sluggish once the screen is starting to get filled up with stuff. Pretty nice and it has great attention to detail. Provided it isn't delayed again, that is.Harry Mason a loving father finds himself lost in the town called Silent Hill while searching for his lost daughter Cheryll.ĭuring his search, strange unexplained happenings occurs while the locals seemed oblivious to what’s happening, harry then soon realize that the town isn’t what it seemed to be as it transforms turning the quiet town into a glacial nightmare. Those who download the demo will also be privy to the game's opening cinematics, which Konami is hoping will get them in the mood for an all-new take on the faltering franchise.Įxpect Silent Hill: Book of Memories to hit stores shelves sometime this autumn. Silent Hill: Book of Memories does feature a single-player campaign, of course, the first two zones of which will be included in tomorrow's demo. Up to four players will be able to link up wirelessly and co-operate to solve puzzles, find weapons, and bludgeon nasties back to whatever dimensional rift they squelched out of. Instead of trying to recapture the cloying claustrophobia which has defined the franchise hitherto, Book of Memories dev WayForward has created a different beast altogether here: a top-down multiplayer-focused action-puzzler.

This much-delayed title marks a significant departure from the survival-horror series's past. Konami is opening the first page of Silent Hill: Book of Memories tomorrow, allowing Vita owners to download a playable demo via the PlayStation Network.
